Project 1 is an introducy project by we are required to explore issues of the spatial typologies and poetics through simple design exercises. In a group of 5, we are to propose 2 schemes for a Walkway Space themed "journey for the 5 senses". In the first assignment (1a) we have to select 2 precedents for analysis. One precedent must be Pre-Modern Movement, and one must be Contemporary. Also, one precedent must be Linear and the other must be Concentric. The precedent study must provide the spatial typologies, spatial poetics and plan-section relationship analysis and produce in 2 A3 board. The second assignment (1b) for the project 1 is using the design strategies based on the previous assignment (1a), design a Poetic Space themed "Journey for the Five Senses".We have to read the given literature, poetry, lyric and visualize it from an architecture viewpoint and translate the literature, poetry or lyric into a journey using 2 contrasting spatial typologies and produce 8 A3 (4 panels for each scheme) include drawings and image of the poetic space for each scheme and one physical model for each scheme.
