Project 2A: Exterior Rendering
1. open the 3dm file in rhino and group the materials layer by layer and export one by one in .iges file. (don't move the angle when you export the layer)
2. open 3ds max and import the .iges files one by one
3. once import every iges. file the 3d model should be appear in 3ds max then start to assign material on the your model
4. go render setup change the render asign to vray adv. then go the material editor import the materials that download from online and change the maps' diffuse, reflect and bump jpg.
5. after import all the material that needed, start to assign material to the building model.
6. after assign material, go modify > UVW map change planar to box and adjust the length and width and rotate to the angle to parallel.
7. create a vray physical camera to the model and adjust the focus length and the angle.
8. after done camera setting, put a vray sun to the building and adjust the angle.
9. test render and the result in interior is too dark, so I add a vray light plane inside the building
10. done all the setting, try render and see the end result outcome.
11.go to setup and set the output length and width to 3000x2000 and start render and save the file in .png.
12. due to some error with the .iges file, the other exterior I export the layers in .3ds file. The following process remain the same as the previous exterior rendering.
12. import the final render png file to photoshop.
13. add the site view, trees, human figure and drop the shadow to the building.
14. adjust the shadow opacity, size and angle .
